5pb has announced that the new light novel in the Steins;Gate will be titled Steins;Gate The Committee of Antimatter and will take place six years after the events of the first Steins;Gate . Chōshirō Miwa will write the new light novel , and Tadasu Yoshida will illustrate it . In addition, Chiyomaru Shikura, who wrote the original , and Naotaka Hayashi will direct .
The new story will be set in 2016 in the city of Akihabara in an alternate timeline. After graduating from college , Okabe industrializes the " Laboratory ," but in reality, Daru is the sole earner , and Okabe makes a living accepting requests to work as a detective . One day building owner's daughter, Nae , asks Okabe to investigate her father, who she says is acting strangely . However, Okabe remembers his experiences from other jobs and becomes concerned. However, before he can think too far, he encounters Suzuha , a girl new to the Steins;Gate timeline.
The light novel will be released on August 29th , and will retail for 1,300 yen (about US $13 ). For now, we'll just have to wait and see how much sales go and hope for a future big screen adaptation.
