NieR Automata has been one of the highlights of this season, already having a large fanbase due to its games. That said, a scene suggested in episode 3 worried many fans online, including Japanese fans themselves.
The suggestive scene was seen in the third episode of the anime, which shocked the community. However, it's important to note that the scene is not related to the character 2B , but refers to a scene where a group of machines investigates human cultures to try and recreate our behavior.

Although this particular scene has been the talk of the Japanese community, the excellent work on the original video game soundtrack, the frenetic fights, and the faithfulness to the original work are topics that have been actively mentioned on social media.
Check out some of the comments:
- I've played so much nieR that I don't think of this as "normal"
- I didn't know that scene existed…
- Is this a training area for maternity/reproduction for robots?
- It was quite a game, so it looks like it's going to become a trauma animation in a way
The film is directed by Ryouji Masuyama (Blend S, Hello WeGo!) at A-1 Pictures (Lycoris Recoil), with CG by Yuusuke Noma and cinematography by Toshiaki Aoshima.
