In an interview with GamesRadar+ , Taz Skylar says that he has no CGI applications in Sanji's scenes, as he did all the action scenes himself alongside his stunt double. Furthermore, he states that he already had an athletic background, but had no practice in martial arts. Therefore, to learn how to fight like Sanji, the actor trained for several hours a day.
“I was already training with a friend of mine here who has a black belt in taekwondo. And then when I arrived in South Africa, we started with about two hours a day of training. It was obvious that it wasn’t going to be enough, because I didn’t really have any kind of martial arts training.”
Soon after realizing that it was necessary to increase his training hours, the actor received help from his personal trainer in London to assist him. He asked for this extra help because there weren't enough coaches to train him five hours a day.
“So I brought my personal trainer from London, who stayed with me for about four months in South Africa in a separate Airbnb. And he would just keep working, and then the stunt trainers, including my stunt double, would train for however many hours they were available and could dedicate to me, and then Donnie, my other trainer, would keep training me literally until the place closed, and it was like that. day after day."
