The live-action One Piece is getting closer, and fans are confident it will be good due to the involvement of Eiichiro Oda , the manga's creator. However, one of Netflix , Matt Owens , revealed that Oda made two demands to proceed with the live-action series.

Recently, Shueisha One Piece live-action adaptation , including exclusive comments from Matt Owens. Although Oda had several demands, the executive stated that there were two things the creator wanted to emphasize. The first demand was to maintain the original stories of the main characters.
"They are so important to who they are as people, what their dreams and motivations are, and how Luffy delves into that when he meets them and helps them rediscover those dreams."
The second requirement would be to maintain the unique skills of each member of the Straw Hat crew.
"Specific Devil Fruit powers and other skill sets were all carefully crafted by Oda, and a great deal of imagination was put into what different people can do and what the rules are for that."
Finally, the main cast of the series includes Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu Arata as Zoro, Jacob Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Emily Rudd as Nami. The series will premiere on August 31st on Netflix.
Synopsis:
The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who gained a body made of rubber after eating the magical Gomu Gomu no Mi (Rubber Fruit). He was inspired by his childhood idol, the powerful pirate Shanks the Red-Haired, to become a pirate and sail a sea voyage to find the mythical treasure, the One Piece , and proclaim himself the King of the Pirates.
