In chapter 1087 of One Piece, the manga returned to the battle between Garp's sailors and Blackbeard's pirates at Hachinosu. While the civilians were being rescued, Garp fought Blackbeard's Titan Captains alone. Although he had the strength advantage, the Marine Hero began to take a lot of damage in the fight.
Koby ends up falling into a trap, so Garp stepped in front of his disciple to receive Shiryu's attack. Shortly after being stabbed, he receives a brutal punch from his former apprentice, Aokiji. As the fight drags on, the Marines' situation only gets worse and Garp becomes increasingly injured. In this way, it seems that Luffy's grandfather is being prepared to die in the future, just like Ace was.
Synopsis:
The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who gained a body made of rubber after eating the magical fruit Gomu Gomu no Mi (the Rubber Fruit). He was inspired by his childhood idol, the powerful pirate Shanks the Red, to become a pirate and sail on a journey across the sea to find the mythical treasure, the One Piece, and proclaim himself the Pirate King.
