One Piece: Taiwan creates a parody of the live-action

When a production like the live-action One Piece garners global attention, it's natural for the internet to respond with a flood of parodies and memes riding the trend. Last week, one such creation stole the show: a humorous version dubbed "ONE PENIS," which quickly went viral on social media.

While Japan is known for producing numerous parodies, this version of One Piece actually came from a Taiwanese group. The "film" features a collection of photos and about 20 minutes of footage, available only to paying subscribers. It's no surprise that the title quickly went viral as soon as the cover image began circulating on social media.

Synopsis:

The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, a young man who gained a rubber body after eating the magical Gomu Gomu no Mi (the Rubber Fruit). Inspired by his childhood idol, the powerful pirate Red-Haired Shanks, Luffy decides to become a pirate and set sail across the sea to find the mythical treasure, the One Piece, and proclaim himself the Pirate King.

Eiichiro Oda began serializing One Piece in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997. Since then, the manga has grown dramatically to become the massive phenomenon it is today. With over 1,000 chapters and 100 volumes published in 25 years, One Piece has become the best-selling manga in history.
