One-Punch Man

The second season of One-Punch Man was finally announced by the team at the closed event called “ One Punch Man Fall Festival ”, in addition to the new season, a Smartphone game is being developed for 2017.

The first 12 episodes of the first season were produced by the Madhouse and directed by Shingo Natsume and aired in Japan between October and December 2015. Viz Media and Daisuki currently broadcast the series outside of Japan in the international market.

One Punch-Man in Japan is a webcomic created by the author under the pseudonym ONE, and published since 2009. The series quickly became a phenomenon in Japan, reaching more than 7.9 million hits in June 2012. The name from the work Wanpanman is a parody of the character Anpanman (the word pan (パン?) is not a standard abbreviation for punch or rather “punch”).

The story of the first season of the One-Punch Man takes place in a fictional city in Japan called City Z, where several strange monsters appear that cause various disasters, generally these monsters are the result of a crazy experiment or a genetic mutation. Saitama, the protagonist, is an incredibly strong hero who easily defeats these monsters or other villains with a single punch. However, due to his overwhelming strength, Saitama has become bored and is constantly trying to find stronger opponents who can fight equally against him.

Saitama meets new friends, enemies and his own disciple, the cyborg Genos, where the two enter the Heroes Association in order to gain recognition for all their efforts to defeat evil. Despite defeating many strong monsters that even the Association's most powerful heroes are unable to defeat, Saitama struggles to earn respect. Most people start to have disrespect towards him due to his plain physical appearance, and some accuse him of being a counterfeit hero. Only a small number of individuals recognize his incredible talent and humility towards others.

One-Punch Man in Brazil arrived from Panini!

A digital remake of the manga was illustrated by Yusuke Murata, and published by Shueisha's Young Jump Web Comics in 2012.
