The official website for Ayuko Hatta Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji (Wolf Girl & Black Prince), has released its first promotional trailer. The premiere is scheduled for October of this year.
Kenichi Kasai (Bakuman, Toradora!) will direct the anime at TYO animation from scripts by Sawako Hirabayashi. Sawako Hirabayashi is handling the series composition. Maki Fujioka is designing the characters, and Go Sakabe is composing the soundtrack.
The story revolves around Erika, who lied to her friends about having a boyfriend, showing them a picture of an anonymous guy who turned out to be a classmate and was quickly recognized by her friends. Their conversations were then overheard by the boy, Sata Kyouya. Erika needed to explain the situation to him and propose the idea of them being pretend boyfriend and girlfriend.
However, Sata, who outwardly appears as a handsome and charming young man, harbors feelings that transform him into a dark prince, using his own motives to blackmail her in her place.
