Check out the list of 2014 Oscar winners below. “12 Years a Slave” made 44-year-old British director Steve McQueen the first black filmmaker to direct a production that won Hollywood’s top award, Best Picture.

During the awards ceremony, Ellen DeGeneres organized a " selfie " with her cell phone, bringing together Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Lupita Nyong'o, Jennifer Lawrence, and a large cast. The Twitter post with the photo she took surpassed 2 million retweets, breaking a record previously held by Barack Obama.

And a pizza, jokingly ordered by Ellen during the ceremony, was distributed with the help of a delivery man to Brad Pitt and other actors in the front rows.
