The manga Oshi no Ko has gained significant popularity in the otaku world, especially due to its shocking ending in the first volume. The plot continues to surprise audiences with constant plot twists, particularly in chapter 161 of the manga.

At the beginning of chapter 161 of Oshi no Ko, Aqua comes face to face with Hikaru Kamiki, the main villain of the story and responsible for the death of Ai, Aqua and Ruby's mother. Hikaru believes that eliminating those who could surpass Ai Hoshino would give the idol even more prominence, and he used his charisma to manipulate people in order to fulfill his dark desires. Now, he sees Ruby as a threat to Ai's memory and decides that she must die.

Knowing this, Aqua, who is extremely protective of his sister, decides to take drastic measures to stop Hikaru. In a moment of tension, Aqua pulls out a knife and, instead of attacking the villain, turns it on himself, in his own stomach. His intention? To protect Ruby and at the same time prevent the media from tarnishing his sister's image, should he become a murderer. Aqua then reveals his plan:

I'll kill you, but I won't let the media report Ruby as the sister of a murderer. There's only one way to do this: Hikaru Kamiki, accused of committing a crime in his biopic, got into a fight with the screenwriter, and after a struggle, they both fell off a cliff to their deaths.

Unfortunately, anime fans will have to wait a while to see the developments of Oshi no Ko chapter 161. With the second arc coming to an end, studio Doga Kobo will need time to adapt these events from manga chapter 161. Although a third season has not yet been confirmed, the series' success suggests that a renewal may be on the way.
