Produced by Doga Kobo, Oshi no Ko is a drama and mystery anime based on the manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, published in Weekly Young Jump. However, the third season retained much of the original staff, with adjustments to the animation direction.

The adaptation premiered in April 2023 with an initial 90-minute episode. The second season arrived in July 2024, covering the Tokyo Blade stage play arc. Since then, the franchise has expanded into live-action, theater, and even a game planned for 2026. The original manga concluded in November 2024, with 16 volumes published. Ultimately, the work solidified its place among the most discussed recent titles in the Japanese market.
