Oshi no Ko has garnered a large audience around the world, including in Brazil, even though HIDIVE doesn't offer the anime here. Its primary audience is obviously Japan itself, but according to Gem Standard , the majority of its audience is made up of women rather than men.

The Japanese website Gem Standard created a gender- and age-separated poll based on respondents to determine which anime are currently most-watched. Oshi no Ko topped the list, currently having more female viewers than male.
A large portion of its audience in Japan is in their 20s, with 6% female and 4% male. Furthermore, Oshi no Ko ranked third in the ranking of most-watched anime, behind Detective Conan in second place and Demon Slayer in first.
Synopsis:
The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old idol Ai Hoshin . One day, Hoshino shows up at his office, claiming she's pregnant with twins, but her manager tells her to abort the babies. The idol doesn't want to abort; she wants both children. Gorou promises her a safe delivery. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in his untimely death, or so he thought. However, upon opening his eyes in his beloved idol's arms, Gorou discovers he's been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino, 's newborn son ! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversies, where talent doesn't always bring success.
Therefore, Akasaka and Yokoyari started the manga in Shueisha 's Salto Jovem in 2020. Volume 12 of the manga was published on March 17, 2023 in Japan.
