Oricon has officially reported that the theme song “ Idol ,” performed by YOASOBI,  surpassed 100 million views in just five weeks after its digital release on April 21. With these numbers, the popular Oshi no Ko is now the fastest song to reach this number in the history of the Oricon charts (since 1999).

In its fifth week, the song recorded 25,632,534 views across streaming services, taking the top spot on the Oricon weekly chart. The cumulative number rose to 107,713,480, becoming YOASOBI's 13th song to surpass 100 million views, and YOASOBI becoming the artist with the most songs to surpass that number.

Synopsis:

The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old idol Ai Hoshino . One day, Hoshino shows up at his office, claiming she's pregnant with twins, but her manager tells her to abort the babies. The idol doesn't want to abort; she wants both children. Gorou promises her a safe delivery. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in his untimely death, or so he thought. However, upon opening his eyes in his beloved idol's arms, Gorou discovers he's been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino, 's newborn son ! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversies, where talent doesn't always bring success.

Therefore, Akasaka and Yokoyari started the manga in Shueisha 's Salto Jovem in 2020. In addition, the publisher published the sixth volume of the compiled book in November 2021.
