The anime Otaku ni Yasashii Gal wa Inai!? ( Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!? ) has been confirmed to premiere in April 2026 as part of the IMAnimation W block on TV Asahi . It will air every Wednesday at 11:45 PM (Japan time) , expanding the lineup of romantic comedies aimed at a young audience.
The story follows Takuya, a shy student passionate about otaku culture. His routine changes as he gets closer to two gyarus in his classwho show genuine interest in his hobbies. Thus, the work builds a school rom-com focused on personality contrasts, everyday situations, and direct dialogue. Furthermore, the original Norishiro-chan, with art by Uozumi Sakana, has already won over readers with its light and contemporary approach.
