The newly launched official website for the Peach Boy Riverside inspired by the manga by Coolkyoushinja and Johanne, has revealed a teaser, a visual, and a premiere date of July 2021. The manga retells the story of another "peach" besides the well-known Momotaro from the Japanese legend of the Peach Boy.

Synopsis
Once upon a time, there was an old man and an old woman in a certain land. The man went to the mountains to cut grass, and the woman went to the river to wash clothes, when she saw a giant peach with a baby inside it… and to summarize the story, the demon-slaying hero Momotaro was born.
But there's more to this story – What if instead of just one peach, there were more peaches in Japan? Later, Momotaro eventually eliminated the demons that threatened his home, but demons were in foreign lands, so… Momotaro went to them.
Cast
Haruka Shiraishi (Asirpa in Golden Kamuy) as Sally, the princess of a small, peaceful kingdom who meets Mikoto and embarks on a journey around the world. A tragic incident awakens the peach powers within her – the power to fight demons.

Nao Toyama (Yui Yuigahara in Oregairu) as Mikoto, a boy known as a demon slayer with the power of the peach. He has an intense hatred for demons and travels with his dog to rid the world of them.

Furthermore, creator Coolkyoushinja (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid) and artist Johanne launched the manga in Shonen Magazine R and on Kodansha . Coolkyoushinja even created an illustration to celebrate the anime!

Staff
Shigeru Ueda is directing the anime at Asahi Production , while Keiichiro Ochi ( Hinamatsuri , Oregairu , The Quintessential Quintuplets ) is supervising the anime's script. Satomi Kurita ( Princess Connect! Re:Dive ) and Masato Katou are doing the character design.
