Atlus revealed a new trailer this Friday for the game Persona 5 Strikers (Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers), the newest game in the Persona franchise from Atlus, KOEI Tecmo Games, and Omega Force.

The trailer was titled 'Liberate Hearts', and the new game will feature classic RPG elements from the franchise, but with a more hack-and-slash gameplay.

Persona 5 Strikers will launch for Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on February 23rd. The Digital Deluxe version will be available on February 19th for players who pre-ordered the game.

Synopsis

The game takes place six months after the events of Persona 5. The main characters are on summer vacation but end up getting involved in a new incident that spans all of Japan. The main characters from the original game are playable.

Voice actress Misaki Kuno portrays Sophia, codenamed Sophie. Sophia is a mysterious girl who has lost her memories. She wields a yo-yo and a blaster, and controls Pithos, which is like a Persona.

Persona 5 originally launched in 2016 for PS3 and PS4; however, the game was only released outside of Japan in 2017. The animated sequences were produced by Production IG.

Finally, a 26-episode anime based on the game premiered in April 2018, produced by CloverWorks.
