My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

The anime SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table will have a new film titled “44: Cloudy Beach”. The announcement was made during an official event, accompanied by a teaser and visual. The premiere will take place on July 10th, with a limited two-week run in Japanese theaters.

In the film, Yuuki participates in a new round with seven other players. Among them is someone she already knows, which adds tension to the scenario. This time the challenge is called "Cloudy Beach," maintaining the premise of lethal games with unpredictable rules.

SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table is a light novel written by Yushi Ukai and illustrated by Nekometal, published by MF Bunko J since 2022. The work gained prominence by winning the label's award for excellence and topping specialized rankings in Japan.

Synopsis

The film's story directly continues the events of the series. The protagonist, Yuuki, overcomes the so-called "30-year wall," a phenomenon that drastically reduces the players' chances of survival. She then returns to a new deadly game set on an isolated island.

The animated adaptation is directed by Sota Ueno at Studio DEEN. The script is by Rintarou Ikeda, while Eri Osada is responsible for the character design. The soundtrack is composed by Junichi Matsumoto, with musical production by Nippon Columbia.

Finally, the anime premiered in January 2026 on Tokyo MX, with an extended initial episode. Currently, the series is available on platforms such as Netflix and Crunchyroll, including simultaneous English dubbing.
