There is no doubt that Pokémon GO is the rage at the moment! But the proportion of this is surprising everyone.
According to the monitoring company SimilarWeb, “Pokémon Go” appears on 5.16% of devices that run Google's operating system in the USA, one of the few countries that already have the game, while “Tinder”, which is already available for 5 years, is present in 2% of devices. The game is also available in Australia and New Zealand.
Because of this limitation, game downloads made outside of Google's official app store have seen an increase in recent days. SimilarWeb states that Brazil is the second country in the world to download the most “Pokémon Go” through the APK Mirror website, with Brazilian users accounting for 8.2% of the page's traffic in the last 28 days.
Other “Pokémon Go” numbers in the US according to SimilarWeb:
– more than 60% of users who downloaded the game use it daily;
– on July 8, the average time spent per day on the app was 43 minutes and 23 seconds, more than WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat and Messenger;
– the audience of the APK Mirror website, which allows users outside the US to download the game, jumped from 600 thousand visits to more than 4 million after the launch of “Pokémon Go”.
