A website was launched on Tuesday (23) to announce the original anime 'Pon no Michi' (The Way of Pon).
Along with the announcement, a promotional video, poster, main cast, crew and confirmation of the premiere for January 2024 were made public.

The main cast of the anime includes:
- Kaori Maeda as Nashiko Jippensha
- Iori Saeki as Father Kawahigashi
- Shion Wakayama as Izumi Tokutomi
- Yui Kondou as Riche Hayashi
Tatsuma Minamikawa (Fire Force, Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry) is directing and writing the anime's scripts at OLM. Negi Haruba (original creator of The Quintessential Quintuplets) is sketching the original character designs, and Kenji Ōta is adapting the designs for animation.

The anime's cast will also participate in a special event at the 'Chayamachi Oshi Festival', which will be held in Osaka on June 11.
Synopsis
The anime is set in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, where high school student Nashiko Jippensha has been kicked out of her home. Without a place to play with her friends, she discovers that the mahjong parlor her father ran is empty. She repairs the mahjong parlor and transforms it into a place where she and her friends can have fun, cook, drink tea, and occasionally play mahjong.
