The official Twitter account of Dengeki Bunko revealed on Tuesday that Yashichiro Takahashi's light novel 'Shakugan no Shana' will have a new volume tentatively titled 'Shakugan no Shana SIV'.

Dengeki Bunko editor and producer Kazuma Miki confirmed on his Twitter account that the new volume is therefore the fourth collection of short stories in 'Shakugan no Shana S'. As such, the new volume will be the first new volume in the franchise since 'Shakugan no Shana SIII' in 2012, 11 years ago.
In addition, Dengeki Bunko magazine published a new story for the franchise, the first in four years, in August 2017.
Takahashi released the light novel in 2002 with illustrations by Noizi Ito.

Synopsis
Yuji Sakai could never have imagined that his peaceful daily life as a high school student would be completely turned upside down by extradimensional invaders called "Inhabitants of the Scarlet Realm." However, it was from there that the poor boy discovered the cruel truth: he was already a "dead person" and was now nothing more than a mere "remnant" of the human who was once called Yuji Sakai…!
