Warner Bros. has just released a new three-minute 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' Martin Freeman ), who travels alongside the wizard Gandalf the Grey ( Ian McKellen ) and thirteen dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield ( Richard Armitage ), on an epic quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain and the lost kingdom of Erebor.

'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' premieres on December 20, 2013, while 'The Hobbit: There and Back Again' will be released on December 17, 2014.
