's new game Capcom has started with strong numbers. Pragmata surpassed 1 million copies sold in just two days, solidifying the launch as an important step for the company in betting on a new intellectual property.

Furthermore, the project took over six years to develop, reflecting a significant investment. With the positive reception, Capcom is already evaluating the potential to expand this universe, which naturally raises questions about a possible sequel.

What Capcom said

In an interview with Game File, executive Rob Dyer commented that the company sees potential in turning Pragmata into a franchise. According to him, the initial performance reinforces the interest in exploring new stories within this universe.

He also highlighted the collaborative work between the Japanese and US teams. Player feedback played an important role during development, helping to adjust elements of the game before release.

Despite expectations, Dyer made it clear that Pragmata 2 is not yet confirmed. Capcom is still analyzing the results before making any official decision about a sequel.

Even so, the initial success and quality of the project position the game as a strong candidate for future continuation. For now, the company remains cautious but is closely monitoring public interest.
