The 4th film of the anime Princess Principal: Crown Handler has received a new trailer, with which fans now know its release date.

Therefore, the release date of the new film is May 23, 2025. Asaki Tachibana (Barakamon, .hack//Quantum) is returning from the previous television series to direct the film at Actas .
Kouhaku Kuroboshi (Kino's Journey, Sky Girls) is still credited with the character designs, while Yukie Akiya (Celestial Method, Code:Breaker) adapted the designs for animation. Additionally, Kimitake Nishio (Moetan, ToHeart2) is also designing characters for the films and is credited as the sole chief animation director. Finally, Yuki Kajiura (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Fate/Zero) is back to compose the music with sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami .
Synopsis
The White Dove team was captured by the kingdom's Ministry of the Interior forces after failing to exile Princess Mary. Knowing they were spies for the Republic, the Duke of Normandy ordered them to double-cross the Kingdom and the Republic.
The Princess was placed in the Duke's custody, while the four members were temporarily released but kept under constant surveillance.
The first film premiered in February 2021. It was originally scheduled to premiere in April 2020, but the film's production committee delayed the film's release due to the COVID-19 . The second film premiered in Japan in September 2021. The third film premiered in April 2023.
