The official Psycho-Pass has released the full trailer for the film. Titled Gekijō-ban Psycho-Pass, the animated feature will have a new story and will be released in Japanese theaters on January 9th.
Writer Makoto Fukami (Chotto Kawaii Iron Maiden) announced on his blog in July that he was writing the film's script with Gen Urobuchi. Fukami had collaborated with Urobuchi on the first season of the anime , but Tow Ubukata will handle series composition for the second season. FUNimation Entertainment licensed the film, as well as the first season.
The series' plot revolves around a world where the principle of "innocent until proven guilty" does not apply; judgment is given by a system that analyzes people's mental state and categorizes them as potential criminals or not, called "Sibyl".
