Record of Ragnarok – New promotional video reveals the premiere date for season 2

The production team for the anime Record of Ragnarok II, the second season of the anime Record of Ragnarok (Shuumatsu no Valkyrie), has released a new promotional video.

The video announces the artists performing the season's theme song (and introduces the opening theme song), reveals that the new season will have 15 episodes divided into two parts, and finally, the premiere of the new season is set for January 26th on Netflix.

Singer Minami performs the opening theme song “Rude, Loose Dance,” and Masatoshi Ono performs the ending theme song “Inori” (Prayer).

The first 10 episodes will premiere on Netflix on January 26, 2023, and the remaining five episodes will premiere at the end of 2023.

The new cast includes:

  • Katsuyuki Konishi as Heracles
  • Subaru Kimura as Raiden Tameemon
  • Yuichi Nakamura as Buddha

Returning cast members include:

Synopsis:

The story begins when the gods convene a meeting to decide whether humanity should live or die. A Valkyrie proposes that the gods and humanity fight one last battle. Thirteen gods will battle against 13 human champions in individual duels to decide whether humanity lives or dies.

The manga was first published in November 2017, with the 4th volume released in July 2019.

The first season premiered globally on Netflix in June 2021.
