The anime Tales of Zestiria the X had a new promotional video and commercial officially released this week. The highlight of the material was the opening theme "Kaze no Uta," performed by the band FLOWRPG Bandai Namco and premieres in Japan in July.
Furthermore, the production confirmed a special pre-premiere of the first four episodes at Cinema Mediage in Tokyo, scheduled for June 25th. The event will feature the main cast, including Ryota Ohsaka, Ai Kayano, and Noriko Shitaya, as well as director Haruo Sotozaki and producer Hikaru Kondo.
The story follows Sorey, a young human raised among the seraphim, spiritual entities invisible to most people. After pulling a sacred sword from a rock, he assumes the role of Shepherd, someone responsible for averting calamities and restoring balance between humans and spiritual beings.
The team brings together franchise veterans
The anime is produced by the studio ufotable, known for works such as Demon Slayer and previous adaptations of the Tales franchise. Haruo Sotozaki directs the series, while Akira Matsushima adapts the original visuals for animation. The soundtrack is composed by Motoi Sakuraba and Go Shiina.
The main cast returns directly from the original game, including Ryōhei Kimura as Sorey and Mikako Komatsu as Rose. Noriko Shitaya replaces Miyu Matsuki in the role of Lailah following the actress's passing in 2015.
