The romantic comedy Rent-A-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) will continue on TV. The team responsible for the adaptation officially announced the production of the anime, just days after the airing of the final episode of the fifth season in Japan.
The new season will adapt the highly anticipated "Cohabitation" arc, one of the most important stages in the story created by Reiji Miyajima. To celebrate the announcement, character designer Kanna Hirayama released a commemorative illustration highlighting the series' protagonists.

The story follows Kazuya Kinoshita, a university student who, after a heartbreak, decides to hire a rental girlfriend. However, this choice leads to his encounter with Chizuru Mizuhara, initiating a relationship that evolves far beyond the service offered. The Cohabitation arc marks an important shift in the dynamic between the characters, further deepening their bond.
Production continues with a familiar team
TMS Entertainment produced the latest seasons of the anime. The fourth and fifth seasons adapted the Hawaiians, while the sixth will directly continue the events of the manga. The original work has been published since 2017 by Kodansha in Weekly Shōnen Magazine and has already surpassed 46 volumes released.
In addition to the anime, the franchise also received a live-action adaptation in 2022. Finally, for more news about anime, manga, and future seasons, keep following AnimeNews.
