My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

The official Capcom website released a video announcing that the remastered version of Resident Evil 1 will be released for all platforms: PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. The announcement came from producers Tatsuya Kitabayashi and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, who confirmed it will be released for the major consoles on the market. These new versions are expected to arrive in 2015.

Hirabayashi said that “the goal with this remaster is to bring back the original [Resident Evil] experience in HD. The pacing along with the flow of the original game are an inherent part of its terrifying atmosphere, so we made the decision not to interrupt this tempo.”

The Resident Evil survival horror game debuted in 1996 on the Playstation. A remake then appeared on the Nintendo GameCube in 2002.

The most recent installment in the franchise, Resident Evil 6, was released in 2012 for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Watch:
