Kadokawa has released a full trailer for Resident Evil: Death Island CG animated film CAPCOM 's Resident Evil series .

Eiichir Hasumi is directing the film, while Makoto Fukami is writing the screenplay. Additionally, the announced staff includes Rei Kondo, responsible for the film's music, and CG director Tomohiro Shimizu.

Resident Evil: Death Island is the sequel to the film Resident Evil: Vendetta, which was shown in theaters in the United States and Canada in June 2017. The film premiered in Japanese theaters in May 2017, and is the third CG animated film for the franchise, following Resident Evil: Degeneration from 2008 and Resident Evil: Damnation from 2012.

The film therefore has a completely original story and features characters from various games in the series. CAPCOM producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi supervised the project.

The Netflix series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness premiered exclusively on the platform worldwide in July 2021 and had four episodes.

Synopsis

DSO agent Leon S. Kennedy is on a mission to rescue Dr. Antonio Taylor from kidnappers when a mysterious woman thwarts his pursuit. Meanwhile, BSAA agent Chris Redfield is investigating a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where the cause of the infection cannot be identified. The only thing the victims have in common is that they all recently visited Alcatraz Island. Following this clue, Chris and his team head to the island, where a new horror awaits them.
