On the franchise's official website, Capcom gave more details about the live action and says that the story will take place in two time arcs. In the first of them (a past), the story revolves around two sisters, Jade Wesker and Billie Wesker, aged 14, who recently moved to New Raccoon City. The Wesker sisters live a normal life, until they begin to realize that the reality of the city is not quite that and they think that their father is hiding something. And that something is what will apparently lead the world to ruin.
The second time arc takes place in the future, more than ten years after the beginning. There are less than 15 million “humans” on the planet. More than 6 billion, including humans and animals, will be infected by the T-virus. In this new world, Jade, now 30 years old, will fight for survival while facing her own past with her, her sister's and her father's mysteries.
