Review – One Piece Pirate Warriors 4

Arthur Vinicius
I'm a technology enthusiast and a lover of anime, manga, and games. The vast majority of anime I enjoy belong to the Shounen demographic.

Like previous games in the series, One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 follows the same gameplay known as "Musou".

A genre that is very popular in Japan and focuses on facing immense and almost endless hordes of enemies on the screen.

One Piece Pirate Warriors 4The game's story is a good adaptation of the original work, covering the Alabasta arc up to Wano. However, it ends up leaving out some arcs, such as East Blue and Skypiea, which could have been included. One criticism from fans was the fact that the Wano doesn't use the respective anime in story mode. (Costumes accessible in free mode)

The cast of characters has a satisfactory number of characters, however some beloved ones like Whitebeard and Shanks ended up being left out.

There are no criticisms regarding the combat ; it's a natural evolution of the franchise and ends up being quite solid. However, it might become repetitive for people not very familiar with this genre.

system RPG , allowing players to increase attributes while simultaneously unlocking abilities known from the anime.

The graphics and soundtrack do not disappoint, and undoubtedly manage to capture the essence of the anime very well, whether in action scenes or even sad moments.

Finally, the game One Piece Pirate Warriors is already a sales successin Japan over 200,000 copies sixth place in the ranking of best-selling games in the country. This should guarantee plenty of extra content for the game.
