The anime Rich Girl Caretaker (Saijo no Osewa) has released its first promotional video and confirmed its premiere date of July 4, 2026 on Japanese TV. The adaptation of light novel also revealed new cast members and details about the opening theme song performed by the band angela.

In addition to the protagonists Itsuki Tomonari and Hinako Konohana, the anime added Ami Koshimizu as Shizune Tsurumi and Takehito Koyasu in the role of Kagen Konohana. The animation is in the hands of the studio Brains Base, known for works such as Natsume Yuujinchou and Durarara!!
Shūsei Morishita directs the series, while Aya Yoshinaga supervises the scripts. Nao Kawashima is responsible for the character design. The soundtrack features well-known names in the industry, including Natsumi Tabuchi, Hanae Nakamura, and Mayo Kurihara.

Romance mixes comedy and school life
The story follows Izuki Tomonari, a penniless student who becomes involved in an unexpected kidnapping. At the center of the case is Hinako Konohana, heiress to a billionaire family and considered the perfect student at the school. However, away from the spotlight, she hides a completely clumsy side, with zero ability for basic daily tasks. Because of this, Izuki receives a curious proposition: to become the young woman's "secret caretaker" to avoid being expelled from school.
The light novel series began in 2021 under the HJ Bunko imprint and already has 11 published volumes. The manga adaptation by Sorahiko Mizushima is still being published on the Fire Cross website. Additionally, Crunchyroll has confirmed international streaming of the series.
