I'm a technology enthusiast and a lover of anime, manga, and games. The vast majority of anime I enjoy belong to the Shounen demographic.

Aniplex has revealed the seventh promotional video for the new Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X) anime.

The video recaps the first cour (quarter of the year) of the program and also previews the second cour, as well as the new opening theme “Rurou no Katashiro” by Masaki Suda x Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra and the ending theme “Sonzai Shōmei” (“Existence”) by KID PHENOMENON.

Synopsis

The story follows the ruthless swordsman Kenshin Himura, once known as one of the best swordsmen in the country, who is weary of killing. However, his past returns to haunt him, and Kenshin will be forced to wield his sword once more against old and new enemies surrounding him.

The series is directed by Hideyo Yamamoto at the animation studio Liden Films (Tokyo Revengers, Yofukashi no Uta), with composition by Hideyuki Kurata, character design by Terumi Nishii, and music by Yu Takami.

Watsuki and his wife, Kaoru Kurosaki, then launched the Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc manga in Shueisha's Jump SQ magazine in September 2017. Publication resumed in June of 2018.
