The November issue of Ultra Jump announced that Shirow Miwa , best known as the manga artist behind 'Dogs: Prelude,' will launch a manga adaptation of RWBY on November 19th, for the magazine's December issue. The first chapter will have a full color last page, and this issue also comes with a card featuring the manga's illustrated art. This series is part of a project celebrating the magazine's twentieth anniversary.
Updated: The manga will be a new prequel (setting in the past) about the four girls who make up Team RWBY and their entrance into Beacon Academy in Vale City. This story is being overseen by Rooster Teeth, which will also reveal "the mystery hidden in four trailers," released in Japan.
Japan's renowned Warner Bros. is licensing the RWBY web series for distribution and merchandising in Japan, complete with dubbing . Six theaters in Japan will screen the episodes starting November 14th. The limited edition Blu-ray will also go on sale on November 14th.
