The RWBY: Ice Queendom anime series will have a total of 12 episodes as listed on the Blu-ray/DVD. According to the official website , the series premiered in Japan on July 3rd.
Synopsis:
The story revolves around four girls, each with their own unique weapon and powers, studying to become hunters at Beacon Academy in the city of Vale: the excitable and idealistic Ruby Rose, the cold and controlling Weiss Schnee, the reserved Blake Belladonna , as well as Ruby's combative half-sister Yang Xiao Long. Meanwhile, together, they form the team RWBY, contemporaries of the teams CRDL (“cardinal”), JNPR (“juniper”), and CFVY (“coffee”).
Therefore, the direction is by Toshimasa Suzuki SHAFT studio and the series is composed by Tow Ubukata. RWBY is an animated series produced by Rooster Teeth Animation in the United States, with a Japanese animation style.
