The live-streamed Dengeki Bunko 30th anniversary celebration event announced the production of the second season of the anime “Sabikui Bisco” (Rust-Eater Bisco).

Synopsis
The story takes place in Japan after a "Rust Wind" has corroded everything. People live in fear of the rust that consumes cities and life in general. A boy named Bisco Akaboshi, a member of the despised Mushroom Guardian tribe, embarks on a journey to obtain the "Rust Eater" mushroom—a miraculous medicine that purifies all rust—to save his dying master. During his journey, Bisco encounters Miro Nekoyanagi, a handsome young doctor from Imihama, and together they search for a solution to the rust that is consuming Miro's beloved older sister.
Therefore, the first season of the anime premiered on January 10, 2022.
Atsushi Ikariya then directed the first season at OZ Studio with assistant director Daisuke Mataga. Sadayuki Murai supervised and wrote the series scripts. Ai Asari and Ikariya designed the characters, while Asari and Norie Igawa served as chief animation directors. Yi Hui Zhang also served as animation director. Takeshi Ueda (AA =) and Hinako Tsubakiyama composed the music.
Finally, Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko imprint released the light novels with illustrations by K Akagishi and world art by mocha in 2018, and will publish the ninth volume starting on August 10th.
