The second season of Saga of Tanya the Evil II (Youjo Senki) has received a new promotional video and confirmed its premiere for July. The announcement took place during the AnimeJapan 2026 event, along with a new visual highlighting the protagonist Tanya Degurechaff.

The production features changes in direction. Takayuki Yamamoto takes over the role at studio NUT, replacing Yutaka Uemura. Meanwhile, Kenta Ihara returns to write the script, and Yuji Hosogoe continues as character designer and chief animation director.
Saga of Tanya the Evil is a military action light novel written by Carlo Zen and illustrated by Shinobu Shinotsuki, published by Kadokawa since 2013. The anime adaptation premiered in 2017 and quickly established itself among isekai works with a war theme.
The main cast returns with Aoi Yūki as Tanya, Saori Hayami as Visha, as well as names like Shinichiro Miki and Tessho Genda. The new season was originally announced in 2021 and now finally has an official release date.
