franchise Saint Seiya gained a new official chapter this Thursday. The manga Saint Seiya Tenkai-hen began its serialization in Weekly Shonen Champion issue 24/2026, published by Akita Shoten's return Masami Kurumada to the classic universe of the series.
The new arc serves as a direct sequel to Saint Seiya and also to Saint Seiya: Next Dimension – Myth of Hades. The premiere introduces familiar characters such as Saori Kido, Seiya, and the evil deity Ker. The aim of this new phase is to expand the conflicts related to the celestial world within the main chronology of the franchise.

In addition to the chapter release, the magazine issue included a special double-sided Saint Seiya as a gift for Japanese readers. The series' return drew attention mainly for connecting events left unresolved after the events of Next Dimension.
40th Anniversary Exhibition Confirmed
The publisher also revealed that the franchise will receive a large commemorative exhibition in 2027 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original manga's publication. However, the event will feature original artwork produced by Masami Kurumada throughout the series' history.
Meanwhile, fans are following another phase in the journey of the Knights of Athena. Finally, for more news about anime, manga , and new seasons, keep following AnimeNews.
