Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas – Anime premiered in Japan 12 years ago

Let's remember today the anime Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas! , a reimagining that no one expected would be so successful. The Lost Canvas anime premiered in Japan  12 years ago . First of all, the work was written and illustrated by Shiori Teshirogi , in this sense the manga narrates an alternative version of the Next Dimension Holy War (Work by Masami Kurumada). Synopsis:

The series highlights the former Bronze Saint of Pegasus, Tenma. Tenma is an orphan like Seiya, and has a strong bond with Alone, Hades' host at the time, and Sasha, the reincarnation of Athena, who lived in the same orphanage as Tenma.

Therefore, Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas was produced by the studio TMS Entertainment (Seirei Gensouki, Magic Kaito) and directed by Osamu Nabeshima .

The manga was approved by Masami Kurumada , who is currently working on Next Dimension. Lost Canvas is a prequel and takes place before the original series. The two mangas partly tell the beginning of “Next Dimension”, but with differences in some character names and stories.

Furthermore, the series did not feature the traits of the traditional team, as would only happen later with Omega and Soul of Gold.

Finally Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas premiered on TV on June 24, 2009 with a total of 26 episodes, divided into two seasons.
