The website for the SAND LAND announced that an anime adaptation of the manga has been greenlit for next year.
Sunrise , Kamikaze Douga , and Anima are producing the animation. The announcement did not specify the medium or format of the adaptation.
The Sand Land manga is a short series that Toriyama serialized in Shueisha 's Weekly Shonen Jump from May to August 2000.
Synopsis
Humans and demons coexist in a hostile place. When the river that supplied the entire world dries up, the King takes control of all remaining water distribution. Thus, the old sheriff Lao decides to set out in search of the legendary Fountain of Dreams , accompanied by the demon Beelzebub and his friend Thief.
