The first promotional video for the anime Sanzoku no Musume Ronia, based on the fantasy novel Ronia the Robber's Daughter (Sanzoku no Musume Ronia) Swedish author Astrid Lindgren Goro Miyazaki ( Tales from Earthsea , From Up On Poppy Hill), began airing this weekend . The video features series' theme song " Haru no Sakebi " ( Cry of Spring ) sung by Aoi Terashima .
Titled in Japan as Sanzoku no Musume Ronia, this new series will premiere on NHK and BS Premium in October. POLYGON PICTURES ( Knights of Sidonia , The Sky Crawlers ) is animating 3D CG series in collaboration with Studio Ghibli .
The story revolves around Ronia , the only daughter of Mattis , the leader of a tribe of bandits who live in a large castle in a forest. Ronia studies the mysterious creatures that live in the forest.
