The second part of the film Free! The Final Stroke arrived in cinemas in Japan this Friday (22). The production marks the end of the franchise , which is inspired by a light novel and has numerous films, as well as an anime series. The film does not yet have a release date in Brazil, but the three seasons of the anime are available on Crunchyroll .
The film continues the events of the third season and focuses mainly on the character Haruka Nanase, who enters an international competition. Kyoto Animation is the studio responsible for the franchise and has already adapted other successful works, such as Violet Evergarden, The Voice of Silence and K-ON! . The first part of Free! The Final Stroke premiered in September 2021, directed by Eisaku Kawanami. In turn, the character design was done by Futoshi Nishiya.
Synopsis:
The Free! franchise follows five high school students who share a passion for swimming. In the film Free! The Final Stroke, Haruka Nanase enters a world competition, but the quest for the title takes him to the limit of his physical and mental capabilities. Haruka tries to understand what swimming means to him, while reflecting on his biggest opponent, Alberto.
