The official website for the Kin-iro Mosaic by author Yui Hara has announced a second season for the project; more details coming soon.
The story of the first season begins with Oomiya Shinobu, 15 years old, seemingly a pure Japanese girl who spent time in Great Britain. Even after returning to Japan, she still misses her time abroad. One day, a letter arrives from Alice, the girl from the family that took Shinobu in in Great Britain. The letter reads: Shinobu, I'm going to Japan! The Japanese-British comedy follows the lives of Shinobu, Alice, and other girls from Japan and Great Britain.
The first one arrived last summer. The Crunchyroll channel is streaming the anime in several regions, and Sentai Filmworks has also licensed it for North America.
