Sengoku Youko: Anime songs are featured in a new promotional video

Arthur Vinicius
I'm a technology enthusiast and a lover of anime, manga, and games. The vast majority of anime I enjoy belong to the Shounen demographic.

The official website for Satoshi Mizukami's anime Sengoku Youko has revealed a new promotional video. The video reveals and showcases the anime's opening theme song, "Hibana" by MindaRyn, and the ending theme song, "Yūyami no Uta" by KEIKO.

“Yūyami no Uta” is Keiko’s first anime theme song since she began her solo career in May 2020. Yuki Kajiura composed the song; KEIKO (Keiko Kubota) was previously a member of the trio Kalafina, created by Kajiura.

The anime is scheduled to premiere on January 10, 2024.

The anime will have two arcs – the “Yo Naoshi Kyōdai-hen” (World Reformer Brothers Arc) and the “Sen Ma Konton-hen” (Thousand Demons Chaos Arc) – and will last for three cours (a quarter of a year).

  • Sōma Saitō as Jinka
  • Yūki Takada as Tama
  • Ryohei Kimura as Shinsuke
  • Tomoyo Kurosawa as Shakugan

Synopsis

The world is divided into two factions: humans and monsters called katawara. Despite being a katawara, Tama loves humans and vows to protect them from evil, even if it means fighting against her own kind. Her brother Jinka, however, hates humans, despite being largely one of them. The siblings are accompanied by a cowardly swordsman named Shinsuke, who wishes to learn how to become strong.

Mizukami launched the manga in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade magazine in 2007 and moved it to an online version on the magazine's website after the magazine ceased publication in 2014.
