This Thursday (10), a website was launched to announce the anime adaptation of the manga “Sengoku Youko” (Warring States Yōko), by Satoshi Mizukami.
The website revealed artwork, promotional video, main cast, crew and the premiere scheduled for January 2024.

The anime's cast includes:
- Sōma Saitō as Jinka
- Yūki Takada as Tama
- Ryohei Kimura as Shinsuke
- Tomoyo Kurosawa as Shakugan
- Hiroki Nanami as Senya
- Maaya Uchida as Tsukiko
The anime will have a total of two arcs, divided into three cours (quarters).

Synopsis
The world is divided into two factions: humans and monsters called katawara. Despite being a katawara, Tama loves humans and promises to protect them from harm, even if it means fighting against her own kind. Her brother Jinka, however, hates humans despite being largely one of them. The brothers are accompanied by a cowardly swordsman named Shinsuke, who wants to learn how to become strong.
Mizukami launched the manga in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade magazine in 2007 and moved it to an online version on the magazine's website after the magazine ended publication in 2014.
