I'm a technology enthusiast and a lover of anime, manga, and games. The vast majority of anime I enjoy belong to the Shounen demographic.

On Thursday (10), a website was launched to announce the anime adaptation of the manga “Sengoku Youko” (Warring States Yōko), by Satoshi Mizukami.

The website revealed artwork, a promotional video, the main cast, crew, and a projected premiere date of January 2024.

Synopsis

The world is divided into two factions: humans and monsters called katawara. Despite being a katawara, Tama loves humans and vows to protect them from evil, even if it means fighting against her own kind. Her brother Jinka, however, hates humans, despite being largely one of them. The siblings are accompanied by a cowardly swordsman named Shinsuke, who wishes to learn how to become strong.

Mizukami launched the manga in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade magazine in 2007 and moved it to an online version on the magazine's website after the magazine ceased publication in 2014.
