The new anime Shikizakura has received its premiere date. According to the official website , the series will premiere on October 9th in Japan.
Synopsis:
High school student Kakeru Miwa, through a strange turn of events, finds himself an unwitting member of a power suit team tasked with fighting the Oni. The Oni possess humans and attempt to cling to the transient world. However, only the power suit, Yoroi, which combines ancient secrets with the latest technology, can protect people from the Oni. Kakeru decides to become a hero who will fight the Oni and protect Oka Myojin, the shrine maiden destined to save the world.
Shin'ya Sugai is directing the anime at Subimation ( Love Live! Sunshine!! , Ghost in the Shell Arise ), while Tomoyasu Nishimura (Junketsu no Maria) is producing. Both Sugai and Nishimura are members of Subimation's board. K&K Design is credited with character design. The production will use hand-drawn animation and 3D CG animation.
Finally, Shikizakura will consist of 12 episodes of 30 minutes each.
