The official website for Shikizakura , an original anime by Chukyo TV and Sublimation, released a promotional video on Tuesday announcing the anime's opening theme song. The video shows several scenes while the song "BELIEVE MYSELF" by singer Asaka .
Synopsis
High school student Kakeru Miwa, through a strange turn of events, finds himself an unwitting member of a power suit team tasked with fighting the Oni. The Oni possess humans and attempt to cling to the transient world. However, only the power suit, Yoroi, which combines ancient secrets with the latest technology, can protect people from the Oni. Kakeru decides to become a hero who will fight the Oni and protect Oka Myojin, the shrine maiden destined to save the world.
The anime, which premieres in early 2021, will have 12 episodes of 30 minutes each.

Shikizakura takes place in the Tokai region, where most of the main staff is located. Shin'ya Sugai is directing the anime at Subimation ( Love Live! Sunshine!! , Ghost in the Shell Arise ), while Tomoyasu Nishimura (Junketsu no Maria) is the producer. Both Sugai and Nishimura are members of Subimation's board. K&K Design is credited with character design. The production will use hand-drawn animation and 3D CG animation.
The anime is unique because most of the staff are based in Nagoya; in addition to Chukyo TV and Sublimation, the production committee also includes Tamakoshi, Nakanihon Kogyo, and K&K Design. The singer Asaka is also from Nagoya.
TYK Promotion, based in Nagoya, held auditions for the voice actors of the seven main characters of the anime, with the main staff officiating the audition.
