An anime adaptation of the Shin Sakura Taisen has been announced, and will premiere in 2020. Along with the anime's reveal, a poster showcasing its visual style and a trailer were also released.
Featuring animation by studio Sanzigen , Manabu Ono is directing and writing the anime, with the help of Tatsuhiko Urahata. The anime's music will be composed by Kouhei Tanaka.
