An anime adaptation of the game Shin Sakura Taisen has been announced, and will premiere in 2020 . Along with the reveal of the anime, a poster with its look and also a trailer were released.
With animation from studio Sanzigen , Manabu Ono works on the direction of the anime and also on the scripts, with the help of Tatsuhiko Urahata. The anime's music will be composed by Kouhei Tanaka.
