Shingeki-no-Kyojin-off-2014

2013 was a great year for an unusual anime debut, as was the case with Shingeki no Kyojin ). We believe that nerd culture, especially otaku culture, needed this—a different anime for a new generation, different from the classics Naruto, One Piece, and others.

Shingeki no Kyojin, or for the hardcore fans, Attack on Titan, was the highest-rated anime of 2013 on Japanese television and the second best-selling manga of the year. So what are fans hoping for in 2014? The answer couldn't be anything other than a second season, to delve even deeper into the story of Eren and his gang as described in the manga. Unfortunately, that's unlikely to happen this year.

According to a recent interview with The Nikkei , Wit Studio president Joji Wada stated that he wants to see more animated episodes of the series, as the manga is almost being overtaken by its anime version. Unfortunately, when this happens, studios create the hated fillers; this was not an option for Wit Studio.

Joji Wada stated that he is working on OVAs to release with limited editions of the manga, and that the series is very close to the original story. Because of this, it would be impossible to produce a second season for the Shingeki no Kyojin anime this year.

Unfortunately friends..., let's sit down, eat some pizza and watch other anime, and of course hope the anime returns in 2015 or maybe at the end of 2014.
